Kristine M.G. Almonte, MD joined our practice in July 2026. Although originally born on the west coast in Washington, she spent many years growing up in Florida. She earned her Bachelor
of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Business Administration at the University of South Florida where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned her M.D.
at Florida Atlantic University before moving to Boston, MA for additional medical training. She completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital – Harvard Medical School,
nephrology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center, and transplant nephrology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Harvard Medical School. Before joining
Naples Nephrology, she worked with a private practice in Orlando, FL.
Dr. Almonte’s inspiration for becoming a doctor and nephrologist is her father who had endstage renal disease, and is now a kidney transplant recipient. She hopes to give back and help
patients who are going through similar situations.
